January 20, 2025 at 6:20 amI absconded from a service based IT company in November after serving 29 days of notice period instead of 90 days. I dropped the company’s assets and took written confirmation of the same over the email. The company chased me over email for few weeks stating I need to report back and then finally sent a letter to my home address stating that we are relieving you from duties and you served just 15 days of notice period.I left it in first week of November but I still dont see exit date on EPFO portal for this company. Also I cannot see PF contributions from this company because they are exempted.
Should I respond to the letter stating that the date is incorrect and I served 29 days. How to get correct exit date on the EPFO portal?

January 20, 2025 at 7:28 amIf you can wait till June, the new EPFO app will allow you to edit that information and transfer your account to new employer, without having to deal with your previous org. Until then you need the approval from their HR to approve any changes you make on the portal.-

April 5, 2025 at 6:13 pmWhy are companies trying to destroy peopleβs career? I have seen that they are doing it intentionally to show overlap and cause trouble in pf withdrawals-

April 9, 2025 at 7:38 amYes. They are fine if a resource is sitting idle and taking full salary. But God Forbid if someone wants to PAY for the remaining notice period and take an early exit.
