Accidental Injury While Riding—Parents Threatening Police Action

My friend was riding his scooty at a normal speed when a small child suddenly ran in front of him. He couldn’t stop in time, and the kid got a minor wound with a little bleeding. My friend immediately took the child to a doctor, got him dressed, and ensured he was okay.

However, the child’s parents are now threatening to take him to the police. My friend wasn’t speeding or riding recklessly, and it was an accident caused by the child running onto the road. He’s really worried about what could happen next.

What are the possible legal consequences in such a case? Can the police take action against him even though he did everything he could to help? Any advice on how he should handle this situation?
