How big was the amount btw ??

There are rarely any chances of getting it back because of technical complexities.

There are low chances of getting it back also the culprit is not being punished for this. If people start getting punished for this for years in jail these crimes will stop but no.

Police saying they cannot trace location for cyber criminal by phone and kyc is bank will be someone else.
Since money got withdrawal from different state , involving other police is difficult

This is the excuses given by police because if police want to catch someone in this technology arena they will catch them in one day.

Yes, but how can we force their hand , problem is they always point out that it’s victims stupidity, we already doing awareness campaign

it’s true and everyone will be angry when even calling someone the caller tune is changed to the warning to stay aware from these scams.

you cannot force them without support from an influencing person

Lawyer here based in Delhi. You’re correct that in such cases a person is largely dependent on the investigating authorities (police). But the police rarely listens to the victims and that’s where the role of an advocate comes. Also, since your friend is busy most of the times, it would be only convenient to hire an advocate to give your best shot at recovering the said amount.
