February 25, 2025 at 6:47 pmI got a legal notice today from Gujarat Gas as I refused to pay the absurd bills they have sent me for the past one year as they have not completed the connection of the gas to the burner.I had been chasing them on calls and have logged multiple complaints with them. The call center folks are downright rude and don’t know what customer service really means. When I asked when can I expect someone to come to finish the connection, the response, ” It’s not our job to say when you can expect”. Also the complaints logged on the app were closed with no action.
I got frustrated and told the guy who comes to check the meter that I want the meter removed and I will not be making any payment. The person would leave and I would receive a message about their employee was unable to check the gas meter reading as no one was home.
Now they have sent the notice saying I am liable to pay โน7200 for a service which I haven’t even used and are threatening with legal consequences. I have records (not recording) of the calls made and I have the complaints showing on the app too. Even got a mail from Google for a review about them being worst service which got over 1000+ views. What actions can they actually take as their services are actually pathetic and a lot of people have been venting their frustration on Google reviews.

February 25, 2025 at 8:18 pmReply to the Legal Notice and explain the whole situation to them. Also, visit their office and talk to them. If problem persists, you can send them legal notice and file complaint under Consumer Protection Act. Not completing installation despite multiple follow-ups is clear deficiency in service and sending wrong bills amounts to unfair trade practice. You will also be entitled to claim damages for mental agony in such a case.-

February 25, 2025 at 8:21 pmI checked for the local office nearby, but on Google Maps there are 3 locations which are showing permanently closed tags. However I will send a response to the notice after visiting a lawyer.I just want them to take the meter back that’s it.
