February 5, 2025 at 12:47 pmHello All,My father passed away last November after a long battle with disease. Unfortunately, he did not put any will in place. He has five different properties around Hyderabad and surrounding areas which are valued by court at around 50lakhs and should be valued around 2Cr in market.
I am now working with a trusted lawyer for getting a legal heir certificate from civil court, and he has quoted Rs. 1 lakh as legal expenses and Rs. 4 lakhs as his legal fees.
Asking people who have experience in this area, is this fees reasonable? Or am I being taken advantage of?
4 Lakhs seems to be a lot from my middle class background. Thanks in advance.
