February 21, 2025 at 6:41 pmI might me on the wrong sub but please help.I disconnected the airtel wifi in December after obviously tons of problems and unresolved and late repairs. And the thing that went wrong is, the airtel engineer who took the wifi router and cable did not update that to the company and the company thinks that i still have it with me. Even after multiple complains they won’t stop calling me or arranging delivery pickups. I have to ask every driver to not come to my address. This is unbearable now what can i do. Please help they have been calling me unstoppably every day for the past 2 months .

February 21, 2025 at 7:03 pmI had read a response some days back of someone facing similar issues (non-stop calling)with Excitel, and they got it resolved via registered complaint with TRAI-

February 21, 2025 at 7:10 pmHow to register a complaint with Trai? This Excitel guy gave my security amount of 2K back after 6-7 months after complaining on consumer portal while the Trai guidelines says that an interest of 10%/annum need to be paid beyond 60 days.
These guys outrightly denied any interest.

February 21, 2025 at 7:59 pmWere you supposed to get any money back? Any security deposit that you had paid during Installation? If not, the next time they call you, tell them you don’t have the router and to stop calling you again and again.
Ask for the customer executive’s name. Then tell them you will proceed to complaint if you ever receive any calls from them. Tell them to mark the same in their system and that should be the final call.
They will stop calling.

February 22, 2025 at 5:17 amI’ve encountered the same issue with Airtel, in this case they started calling after a year and the spamming went on for months and months, it’s slowed down now but they still call.-

February 22, 2025 at 4:13 pmIt’s not Airtel that is calling you. It’s a scam. They just want the device. Your number has been leaked to the scamsters. You simply block them. There are multiple of these scamming groups. So they don’t really know if your device has been picked up or not. Nothing is going to happen if you don’t return the router at all.How do I know? Same thing had happened to me, with Airtel DTH device. If you have something like Truecaller installed, you will see the numbers they are calling you from have been reported as spam hundreds of times.

April 21, 2025 at 7:58 amI disconnected my Airtel and they have called me several times to pickup the router and when I asked for my security back they said they won’t return my security because if in future I take the connection they will install it for free (basically denying & refusing my security amount of 3k) I told them I won’t give them the router if I don’t get my security back and stop calling me. The audacity of these people to just take over my security amount openly basically scamming in open…
I don’t pick up their calls anymore and gave them the wrong address the previous place I was in lol…
