        Consider a scenario where the husband and wife get a mutual divorce (this is just a drama – not a real one)

        And the husband pays monthly alimony to the wife and for child maintenance.

        Can the husband save tax in this situation ?

          No. You will be taxed on your income. Individual taxpayers cannot deduct personal expenditures, including alimony payments, when calculating their tax liability. Therefore, paying alimony does not reduce your taxable income.
