April 13, 2025 at 7:28 amAn Amazon UK account was created using **my email ID and phone number** — under **my name** — without my knowledge. I only found out when someone used that account to purchase a £10 gift card, and I received the confirmation email.Since then, I’ve contacted Amazon customer care **at least 7 times** by phone and also sent multiple emails. The current situation is that my account has been placed on **hold**, and in order to remove the hold, I’m being asked to provide information about a **card I don’t even own**, which belongs to **M&S Bank** — a bank that doesn’t even operate in India.
After all these calls and emails, the only response I get is:
“We don’t have the authority, please send an email.”
And the team I emailed — even after replying once — has gone completely silent despite **three follow-up emails**.My question now is:
**Can this case be filed with the Consumer Forum for negligence and potential fraud support by Amazon? If yes, what is the process?** -

April 13, 2025 at 8:57 amRegarding how your account was created, you may have accidentally logged in on amazon.uk using the same credentials you use in India. This is a pretty common issue.Regarding help, they should ideally help unless they have serious concern of fraud. Ask for escalation, talk to just 1 person in the escalation team or manager as a point of contact so that there is no confusion. Ask them to follow up. I can’t think of any point where they would just deny helping you.

April 13, 2025 at 9:05 amI’ve called **every customer care number available** and emailed all the addresses provided. But your phone support feels more like a government office — everyone keeps saying, “This is not our issue,” and then redirects me to the **same 4 numbers over and over again**.That’s why I’m now being forced to take this step, and I’m asking:
**Is it even possible to resolve this?**
If yes, then **what are my options** and **what exactly needs to be done**?I expect a clear answer — not another round of redirection.
