Amazon is frauding me

Hey guys. I ordered an expensive(for me) mixer grinder prepaid, from Amazon and on the day the product was supposed to be delivered, no delivery guy contacted me but I got a message that I rejected my order and also got an automated call from Amazon team asking is I rejected and I said no and they said my order will be delivered the next day.

Next day, the app was showing that product is being returned to the manufacturer, I was fine with it and thought I will order a new one once I get my refund.

But the very next day I got a call from delivery agent saying he has kept my order at the office reception and asked for OTP. Now this is very normal for us to keep the product safely at the reception and get it later. This delivery guy that called me has delivered a lot of packages before in the same way. I gave him the OTP and the product was marked delivered. Five minutes later when I went to take the package, nothing was there. I asked the guards and they said no Amazon guy came upstairs. I started calling the delivery guy but he was rejecting my call.

I contacted Amazon support and they said they will investigate and call me back in 6 hours with an update but no call was made. I again called them the next day and heard the same thing. Today I called them and this new person tells me there is no investigation going on and no escalation has been raised but asked me to call on 23rd now.

I don’t want to lose my money. What can I do?

NAL, I don’t think anything can work here as it was an OTP based delivery. But one thing you can bet on is the CCTV footage for that duration. Maybe fight based on that but the chances are very slim that the decision will be in your favor.

Don’t share OTP unless u have the package in ur hand

How is Amazon defrauding you?? You never share OTP until you receive the product, that is the only reason OTP based delivery exists.

There is nothing Amazon can do here, for all they know you could have kept the product and raised the complaint. The delivery guy will feign innocence.

Only way forward is to get the delivery guy number and name from Amazon and file a police complaint

It doesn’t matter, it is also your fault for sharing the OTP without getting the product at hand. Amazon doesn’t have anything to do here. As per records you confirmed the delivery.

NAL, Visit the local Amazon delivery office , talk to the manager there, you will get resolution quicker ,
