January 23, 2025 at 1:09 pmHey guys, hope you’re all doing well.I’m currently dealing with a stressful situation and need advice. I’m receiving threatening calls from an IT company I interned with during the last semester of my BCA. This company is located in Mohali, Punjab. They charged me and my batchmates βΉ24,000 each for a “paid internship,” promising stipends and hands-on experience working on real projects.
However, the reality was entirely different. Out of the six months of the internship, they didnβt even provide me access for about a month β no links or work assignments were shared. The experience was terrible, and the trainers and management were unprofessional. They failed to deliver on all their promises, and I didnβt receive a single rupee of the promised stipend.
To make things worse, they were even faking offer letters to get NoCs (No Objection Certificates) from universities/colleges so students could work with the company. This was all part of their shady practices.
Additionally, I came across Google reviews where others mentioned that this company withholds students’ certificates and only releases them after forcing students to leave a positive review about their experience. This seems like a deliberate attempt to silence criticism and maintain their reputation fraudulently.
Frustrated and wanting to warn others, I wrote an honest review on Google, stating all the facts so no one else gets scammed by this company. The review was 100% truthful, based entirely on my experience.
Now, the company has started calling me, threatening to file a cybercrime case against me and claiming they have a “big team of advocates” to take legal action. Theyβre pressuring me to delete the review, but Iβve refused because I believe the truth needs to be out there.
What should I do? Is there anything I should be worried about legally? Any advice on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
