        I am Raj Bhatt, and I’m facing an unfair denial of my AppleCare+ claim for my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Despite following all protocols, providing valid proof of purchase, and having active AppleCare+ coverage until October 31, 2024, Apple and their authorized service provider (iVenus, Vadodara) have falsely claimed that my device was tampered with, leading to a denial of service.

        This has been a frustrating and exhausting process, and I need help, legal advice, and visibility on this issue. Apple is violating their own policies as well as Indian consumer laws.

        Summary of My Case

        • Serial Number: CNG7YQH9XL
        • Purchased on: October 28, 2022, via Flipkart
        • Purchase Price: ₹1,49,929

        🔹 AppleCare+ Details:
        • Agreement Number: 275341992352
        • Coverage End Date: October 31, 2024
        • AppleCare+ Plan Price: ₹26,999
        • Covers: Accidental damage, hardware repairs, and technical support

        🔹 What Happened?
        1. October 24, 2024: Submitted the phone to iVenus (Vadodara) for front & back glass damage.
        2. iVenus Service Report: Stated the phone had no unauthorized modifications.
        3. October 29, 2024: Apple MySupport status confirmed “Repair Completed”, but suddenly iVenus denied my claim, falsely alleging tampering.
        4. Apple Support is refusing to help, saying the service provider’s decision is final, despite NO PROOF of tampering.
        5. Apple’s own policies state that claims cannot be denied without proof of unauthorized modifications.

        🔹 Supporting Evidence:
        ✅ Original Invoice from Flipkart (₹1,49,929) with IMEI/serial number.
        ✅ AppleCare+ Proof of Coverage (₹26,999) email from Apple.
        ✅ iVenus Service Record, showing no tampering upon submission.
        ✅ Repair history from Apple’s MySupport, confirming repair status.
        ✅ YouTube Unboxing Video (46K+ views) proving the phone was purchased brand new.
        ✅ Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India) violations.

        Legal Action & What I Need Help With
        • I have called 1915 (Consumer Helpline), but no help.
        • I am filing a consumer complaint in Vadodara and online via e-Jagriti.
        • Seeking legal advice and suggestions from anyone who has fought a case against Apple in India.
        • Any media/journalists/tech influencers who can help bring attention to this?
        • Anyone from Apple Support here who can escalate this to someone who actually cares?

        This is not just about my phone—Apple cannot continue to scam Indian customers like this. Their AppleCare+ terms are misleading, and their service providers are exploiting loopholes to deny claims.

        TL;DR

        Apple denied my valid AppleCare+ claim for iPhone 14 Pro Max (₹1,49,929), falsely claiming “tampering” with no evidence. iVenus, an Apple Authorized Service Provider, refused service after initially accepting it. Apple Support is useless. I’m taking legal action and need help from lawyers, tech community, media, and fellow customers.

                  exactly i have already addressed that to apple customer support i have spent 70k around in apple care plus plans for all of my devices and this is what i get in return instead of giving me my phone back in time they are making excuses of third party modifications i think someone from apple staff might have done this for their personal gains why would some paying this amount do third party modifications someone would still believe if it was a bike or car i don’t se any exhaust built in my phone and i m not engineer that i would inject steroids in 14 pro max for better camera performance . you know when i asked them like what modifications have done please tell me they were like our engineers have not mentioned anything specific about that its just third party modification bla bla i m soo tired talking with them yeah i know if call gets cut you will call me back i dont need to hear this again and again they just call and hold you for 30mins and give no information and will tell you they are escalating something and they will call back in some time

                          i have already bought 16 pro max with care plus before this happened and recently i have purchased one plus 13 for my tech channel that 14 pro max was investment to record some third point of view videos or maybe some time lapse i have paid 26k for apple care plus now i m asking for their services thats all. plus i have bought apple care plus for all my devices because my dog keeps destroying all the things now all i need is my phone back i would be thankful if you can help

                                Even if he did there no way to prove it was accidental or deliberate. That onus is on Apple. And they can’t prove it.

                                        conduct, or any use of the Covered Equipment in a manner not normal or intended by Apple;

                                        First of all they should clearly mention it. Secondly this clause can be misused by the service centre.

                                            Yup. Which is why I avoid Apple Care. After paying 26K for Apple Care, they will charge anywhere between 3k to 10k for repairs when you claim.

                                            Yeah everyone Apple, Samsung, etc mention it. That is not an issue.

                                            The onus is on for them to provide proof it was deliberate. CCTV footage or some witness. Which they obviously cannot provide. Here Apple is deliberately looting people.

                                            In US/UK, many people deliberately break the phone before this is over and get it replaced. Hell in India, the Samsung service centre themselves said “Sir you break it and we will get it everything replaced before your warranty is over.” My phone fell anyway so it didn’t matter.

                                            So Apple is plain old looting customer here. As always.

                                                              no that particular device is no longer bin coverage they took all the days . it has been repaired once in i Venus store just for dust and mic issues no elsewhere because i knew i paid for my insurance elsewhere is not nice thing to do. i have no idea what jailbroken is i have purchased my phone legally from flipkart and i have invoice

                                                                Was your phone sent to Bangalore? If yes, you got nothing to stand here. iVenus Vadodara has no say in this. But if they (iVenus) did some servicing in their own center, you might raise this to official Apple store.

                                                                          If my apple product breaks I don’t even try. There was a time I used to write to Tim Cook. Nothing happened, just left a bad reviews at multiple places across the world and moved on.

                                                                              File a case in consumer forum against iVenus and Apple India Ltd. Submit the proofs to them and let Apple prove that there was tampering. Also, make the case if someone purchased Apple Care why would they get the device tampered. Plus, apple blocks unauthorised parts anyway.

                                                                              I think what has happened is the service centre is a scam. They might have taken parts from your phone and replaced them and now are rejecting the claim as tampered. Drag them to courts and make sure you get a public apology from them.

                                                                                      Make sure you get public apology ie in a newspaper, dont let them get away. I know they won’t ever agree for it but push them that you were humiliated in service centre publicly.

                                                                                                      I suggest that you go to your nearest official Apple Store – Gurgaon, Mumbai or Bangalore – and try there.

                                                                                                      Have you gone to a different Apple service provider ?

                                                                                                      Apple is usually committed to honoring their contracts unless your phone is really tampered with.

                                                                                                      Also never buy iPhones from online retailers. Only buy directly from Apple.

                                                                                                          coverage got expired after 31st oct 2024 and submitted when it was active around 24 oct 2024 so is it good idea to collect and then go to Mumbai and submit there? i have called apple today and they have asked me to call them back again tomorrow might connect with someone from mumbai store or something i m not sure they are just wasting my time till my emotions gets settled

                                                                                                              – Apple doesn’t bullshit or waste your time. They are customer friendly and will likely call you back and help you out. Post an update here when u hear from them.

                                                                                                                yes noted i will only buy from stores from now on but i thought flipkart is genuine and tbh that phone was perfectly fine for two great years i m gamer as well i have played BGMI in it with high graphics and i m tech guy as well i can tell if its performing odd if it was tampered how can it survive till this long i have dipped it in water many times then if it was tampered water would have ruined some components right this doesn’t make sense

                                                                                                                    Pratt and Whittney did not honor the warranty of their engines on Go Air Airlines and though they were covered under warranty they denied service or maintenance and Go Air had to pay hefty bill and had a bad hit on their Business

                                                                                                                    Such big firm with documented evidences and all access to law in Indian court of justice couldn’t fight even bigger company and I think this is still before court of law

                                                                                                                    This will likely be your case as well unless you want to sue them in international court of justice for false promise and shitty devices for high prices

                                                                                                                        Better to take ORA Policy iPhone Insurance plan for theft and damages, my theft claim was passed and got a new iPhone 16 Pro Max within 4 days, earlier I was thinking to go for AppleCare but they guys we’re not offering theft coverage. Moreover their premium and excess fees are huge.
