Applying for passport after marriage.. need advice

I (28F) Recent married 1 year ago, I have not applied for marriage certificate and do not wish to change my last name as well. I am applying for a fresh passport. So I need some advice for the following:
1. Should I state I’m single? Since I don’t have marriage certificate
2. If i state that I’m married I will have to put husband’s address under the address section ?
3. Do I have to submit marriage certificate ?
4. Is it okay to put my last name on passport even if i state that I’m married ?

1. I think PSK will ask for marriage certifcate if you fill married
2. No, you can apply with address on your OVD
3. If you declare married, then yes
4. If you have not changed name, then yes

But I read somewhere that marriage certificate is not required for passport even if i declare that I’m married

It’s clearly written – for addition of spouse name is passport marriage certificate is required but since I’m not adding it’s not mandatory

That is a little ambiguous, I am not too sure if you can select married and then choose to not add spouse’s name

It is required. PSK follow their own rule. If they say they need it no one can do anything.

1. If you’re married, don’t state that you’re single.

2. You can apply for with your own address.

3. You can fill an Annexure in lieu of marriage certificate.

4. You can fill use head name if you haven’t changed it yet.

Lawyer here.

1. No. Just fill up Form J (1 joint photo, spouse signature, adhaar/ passport number).
2. Curreny residence, wherein police verification will happen.
3. point 1
4. They’ll ask for last name as per documents.
