SHello, I want to know if there are any bodies where I can complain and escalate regarding a activity which should be illegal, For Introduction, I’m from West Bengal, in North 24 Pgs. There is a family beside our apartment building who runs a Auto Rickshaw LPG refuelling, and stores LPG cylinders in some storage space of theirs. We had a lot of scuffle with this family previously because previously before the rise of Gas fuel these guys used to sell Adulterated Petrol (or diesel, or even worse than these two) to autos (better known as ‘Kaata Tel’ in Bengali). We had disagreements with them previously because of their illegal business, autos used to crowd in our shared passageway which is shared by both apartment and that family (although I’m not fully sure if that area is owned by them or not). Since our apartment doesnt have walls or gates, we used to suffer a lot because of this. But nonetheless, their business at that time was reported to some authorities, there was a ruling party office (T * C) once adjacent to our apartment and we told them there too, and some other authorities, but nothing seemed have worked (it kind of felt they had an underhand with this politicians and maybe authorities too). Fast forward, after Kolkata mandated towards Gas fuel for Autos, and when specifically it was mandated autos to use CNG only, these mofos were selling in LPG, and by the looks of it, they were selling domestic LPG (I guess there was no auto fuel grade LPG at that time, but I remember particularly that it was mandated only CNG to be used as fuel). After a mandate passed in 2020, regarding LPG can be used as auto fuel, these guys seemed to get free hand, but afaik and I read about it refuelling stations can only use Fuel grade LPG not domestic LPG. And most importantly, which we have been fearing for a long period of time, it is a safety hazard being just adjacent to our apartment, and there are other buildings nearby too. That family who used to live in shanty built a there storey house just from this illegal business. There had been instances previously when we tried to record videos of autos queung totally blocking our pathway, and them refuelling, when they caught us they warned us of consequences, also some other scuffles happened few years ago where their auto (or someone they know) totally rammed intentionally into a toto which my mother was deboarding in front of our apartment gate (which in the shared pathway and they were constantly honking when we told them to give us some time to deboard) that toto was severely damaged and when we confronted them they threatened us with more dire consequences if we dont retreat. Fast forward to now, the daily routine of autos queing in the pathway, blocking entrace to our apartment 2 wheeler garage gate is common, and that guy had started parking his bike adjacent to our apartment building, making it difficult to park our own bikes beside our building. These things have constantly been getting to my nerves, and I want to do something against these mofos, starting with reporting their business which seems obviously illegal. I want guidance regarding how to proceed with this, which authorities to report, what kind of evidences to keep, how much reliance on alibi we need (other flatmates have for a long time tried to unitedly protest but most have left hope since they seem so reign free)
