UA man claiming to be police called me just now. He called me by my name, and said that I had paid african girls for sex, they have full evidence, footage etc. I said i just chat with them from dating sites. He said he is gonna transfer this case file to my nearest police station where i should go with my parents to deliver a statement. I think this is a legit call, and I do paid couple of african girls for sex long back when i was in bangalore. But i have stopped everything like that for a long time as well. Whatever he said about this issue is almost correct. So this is a legit policeman, he asked me to send money to a number if i want to clear eveything now. I said i have very low salary, then he immedietely cut the call.
I do agree i had paid for sex but the girls gave consent and none were minor. But still is this gonna be an issue for me. It will be my end if the nearby police station calls me with my parents for sexual offense. I’m really scared and can i do anything about this.

MChill OP. This is someone you have confided in like a friend, cousin or someone or else its the girls.
Don’t break your head so much and stop being paranoid. If this has happened years ago forget abt it.
You have no idea to what extent a scam can go. If you pay once you are done they will never stop blackmailing.
You really think cops have this much time to go after you for this??

UIf it’s not your main number I would suggest just turn it off for a few days. Most likely this is a scam. Paying for sex to consenting adults is not a crime. It is possible that the person you spoke to is a policeman but even so they are probably just trying to male money off of you.
Also, even if the girls are illegally here or whatever that’s not on you.

ENo need to afraid and no need to bring your parents to the Police Station even if they summon you.
You haven’t committed any crime, prostitution is legal in India. Even if this person contacts you again, ask them about his profile first.
A cop can’t forward a case to your nearest police station just because they want it. They’ll only summon you to the Bangalore police station if necessary.
Even if the girls are illegal immigrants or have been trafficked here, it’s their job to tackle this problem not yours. It’s not your job to run a background check before f*cking a prostitute

HIf you’re above the legal age limit, the police wouldn’t ask you to go to the police station with your legal guardians. You are solely responsible for your actions as an adult. I reckon since they asked this, it’s most probably a scammer.
Even if they are legit, and if you’ve paid in cash, those texts can’t really implicate you. Everything’s really circumstantial at best. They won’t be able to prove you’ve availed those services anyway. Take it easy.

CNot a lawyer, but if you are an adult and they were adults, why should your parents go to a station if this is even a crime somehow?
I think sex work was legalized sometime ago. It just sounds like a scam, but if you are sure just lawyer up and if you have to visit a station don’t take your parents, makes no sense to involve them.

NThis is a very common scam call. Don’t give into it.
The girl may have quickly glanced through your personal ID card. If you go to a hotel they ask for your adhaar card. They may have been in cahoots with the hotel as well. In today’s age, it’s very hard to hide a identity and there may be various sources of leaks.
Just moveon. There are many other who have met the African girl. To police, the person of interest is the pimp.

HUntil you have actual cops at your doorstep, relax. After that, you just need a half decent lawyer. Murder, rape etc cases don’t get resolved for years, in the scheme of things you haven’t done any real harm. The justice system in India works better than anywhere else in the world if you are not that poor. Cops just want to milk you for some money. Points to consider, for your sake, I hope you paid in cash and not some bank transfer lol and pray that there are not minors.

UTbh very honest, paying money will not solve your problem. This will be a loop. Ignore the situation. Because, first, paying money for sex is not a criminal offence per se. Secondly, he would threaten you but will not pursue it legally because his connection with the girls will be out and it is not in his interest. Thirdly, cases like this doesn’t hold up in court.
Dont ever pay money, The greed will never end.

ECops won’t ask a grown ass man to come to the police station with parents. They are trying to get money out of you using the Parents card. I mean even if you don’t pay them, I doubt they would bother enough to go after you with an actual case. It would be a hassle for corrupt cops. I mean even if they do, there’s no case here unless you did something “really bad”. Prostitution by itself is not a crime in India.
But most likely, these are scammers and not cops at all.
And even if you think let’s take a chance and pay them and end it, they will keep asking for more money. So the best is to ignore and move on. They won’t do shit.

UContact an actual lawyer, that you are being blackmailed, say all this to the lawyer in person. You might be advised to go to a police station, not to surrender, but to register digital crime, extortion, etc FIRs.
Guys in the comments might have missed this guy’s real concern. He lives with his parents, and these people know his past with prostitutes and his current phone number. He is afraid that his parents and neighbors will find out.
Go to a lawyer and discuss this in office. Notice how many comments are from lawyers and how many are from non-lawyers. They can’t give you advice without actual details.
