May 7, 2026 at 5:25 pmHi everyone, I’m a 2nd year college student and I need some legal advice regarding my bank account.Around 10–15 days ago, I deposited ₹400 on a betting website called Reddybook and later withdrew around ₹583 back to my Canara Bank account. Recently, my bank account suddenly got permanently blocked/frozen. UPI is not working, balance is not showing properly, and I cannot receive or send money anymore.
There was around ₹900 in that account. I’m worried whether this happened because of the betting transaction.
I want to know –
What legal action can actually be taken against me in this situation?
and Can I simply ignore this blocked account and open a fresh account in another bank?
I have never been involved in anything criminal before, so I’m pretty stressed about this. Any advice would help.
