April 16, 2025 at 5:11 pmSo, not me but my father so can’t share that many details I dont know what’s right to share and what’s not
But, the story is as follows
My father signed a loan agreement for a plot in which the repo rate of rbi was 6.5% and additional commission of Bank was 2.8% which brought total interest rate to 9.3%
But recently the rbi changed it’s repo rate to 6.25% and since the loan hadn’t started the Bank agreed to draft new terms,But what they instead did was increase the commission so that the total rate remains same and forged my father’s signatures on all the documents pertaining to this change
The signs are visually distinguishable even by a child
Should we pursue this legally or is it too risky
risky
The Bank employees have apologised alot but I feel it is too big of a mistake to just let go
Tldr- Bank employees forged around 10 signatures of both my parents in loan agreement to increase their incentives -

April 16, 2025 at 5:13 pmDefinitely pursue this. You will get quite bit of financial reward from the bank. Start with an FIR for forgery and fraud.-

April 17, 2025 at 6:48 amHi OP.. ex banker and advocate here. I am based in NCR.Regarding your situation, it would make more sense for you to get the bank to return all the previous signed docs to you and sign afresh with lowest interest rates on their offering . I can understand your idea of filing a police complaint and going to RBI..none of these two actions is going to benefit you, ultimately you will.be burdened by having to depose before police repeatedly. If you have free time, then you can attrmpt this adventure!
Rather you should look at driving a hard bargain and close things and make sure that they acknowledge your help and that you are not going to leave them without expecting a concession.

April 17, 2025 at 6:50 amThis is what my father is saying as well
But I felt this was a breach of trust most of all
And what’s to say they haven’t done this before with other people
Would this prevent them from doing this fraud again-
