Bank took my sign on a blank stamppaper

I recently applied for an educational loan and gave a affidavit that all that I have stated is true, however the bank manager also took my signature on blank stamp paper, what are the issues that I can face ??

Nothing. That stamp paper will have a description. It can’t be used in anyway else other than recovery if you default.

You are young ,so next time keep in mind my previous comments?
which bank is this?
Next time, record everything and complain to RBI Ombudsman after the work is done ,usually not before that.

It was sbi for an educational loan, it still under process, after that I’ll ask them to give it back and if they refuse I’ll complain

if it’s SBI they won’t give it.
But chnages of SBI Manager misusing is lot less as PSU have more accountability and attrition is also less so the employees fear offifials complains, especially RBI Ombudsman.
Get proof if a male manager than get video recording if female get voice recording and send it via email Chairman(email id, publicly available) but you will have to chnage tour home branch.
If it’s for ISB Loan shouldn’t be that much of problem.

No don’t understand. It is not legal. And I suppose hdfc did it. You should have not done that. If they insisted, you should have asked them to send this on mail, and told that you couldn’t sign on a blank sheet & report to ombudsman.

If you haven’t already, don’t. Ask them to send the request through email. Contact a lawyer to understand what can be done, what are the latest regulations, and how you can respond.

Ask that person to show you that blank stamp paper to confirm if there is something written on it. Pior to this email to sbi asking if this is a part of the documentation and then go to the bank as per their response.

They actually do that before education loan. I was already told that by wemakescholars. They do that incase if you default the loan and they recover that.
