Hello I need advice for my situation. I donโ€™t even know if this could be dealt with legally. One of my dads bank employee who opened a savings account for him got in touch with me since I needed a loan. He used to work in hdfc and when I knew that he moved to a different bank I no longer needed his help since he was not associated with the bank I was looking for. He proposed some FD plan which I clearly rejected. He kept pushing the plan for 3 months straight like a salesman and I told him I have a loan and not at all interested in this. He went to my dad directly and made him pay 5L from his FD for this plan without my consent or signature. I understand that my dad was only looking out for me. How can I take an action against this employee whom I clearly told that I was not interested and he went behind my back to an elderly person and bulldozed into paying for his daughterโ€™s safety which was not needed. My dad kinda trusts this guy and enrolled in this plan which is a commitment for 10 years and I am not ready for it. Any advice please help. I want this money back in my dads account.

File a formal complaint with the bank and demand that they return the money. Also the policy / schemes suggested by these people are always the worst of all. So make sure to get your money out.

If they donโ€™t agree, file complaint with RBI ombudsman.

Alternatively, you could also file a consumer complaint.

Thank you! I know it is always a scam. Parents did it during their time. I tried explaining my dad even. He never meddles with any of my financial decisions this time because of this guy he did it.
