May 6, 2026 at 6:03 pmMy situation (briefly):I was abandoned by my husband a few months ago without any real closure. Since then, his family has been aggressively pushing for divorce through intermediaries, but at the same time they’re not willing to discuss settlement terms.
He has blocked me everywhere, and there has been no communication for months and I’m essentially being pushed into a situation where I’m left with nothing.
What I’m really worried about is this:
I’ve heard too many stories of lawyers being **influenced, delaying cases, or informally aligning with the other side**—especially when the other party has more resources or connections.
I need someone who:
* Is **ethically strong and not easily influenced**
* Will **actually protect my interests**, not just drag the case
* Is okay handling a situation where the other side is uncooperative
If anyone has **personal recommendations (not ads)
Thank you.

May 6, 2026 at 6:09 pmAs a lawyer practicing in Kerala, I would say the chances of you entrusting the case to a morally bankrupt lawyer is less.I don’t know lawyers practicing in Bangalore personally, but I can enquire if you want.

May 6, 2026 at 6:33 pmhonestly your concern is understandable because once communication completely stops and only pressure through family remains it starts feeling very uneven especially if settlement is being avoided altogether the part that usually matters most is finding someone who communicates transparently and documents everything properly rather than just sounding aggressive in the first meeting because matrimonial cases can drag emotionally very fast have they sent any actual legal notice yet or is everything still happening informally through relatives and intermediaries -
