UMy mother found out yesterday what she had been suspecting for more than 2 years now and more concerningly over the past week that her husband has been having an extramarital affair this whole time. Long story short, her husband worked nearby and lived in the village ancestral house and she worked there for a while then shifted to town with her parents and her two children to take care of them and also because she found the village atmosphere and the schooling infrastructure not suitable for her growing children. Now I am neither much attached to her nor that man. They both have been really bad parents. She has decided that she won’t tell many people about any of this except for her parents and children(us) and that she will go to the village and settle there and work from there(mind you her husband’s mother knew all of this for atleast 2 years and didn’t tell her, and I suspect more of the house’s people were involved). It is making me awfully anxious that I just wanted to work up to a point where I could just get away from these awful people. I don’t think our mother deserves such things no matter how bad she has been. I also think it would be dangerous to go to that village – because it was at an event 2 years ago where my mother overheard someone talking about it for the first time. Also keep in mind we’re in Bihar and her husband’s father was a Mukhiya of the village for a long time and that man also might have some political affiliation/influence.
