Bitten by a dog but the person who takes care of it isn’t bothered

So recently I was walking down a road and a dog just pounced in me , as a safety I took the necessary rabies shot

But the dog isn’t owned by anyone although it does practicaly be in one bunglow for most part of the day as that person feeds it

Apparently this dog has bitten many people but nothing is done about it

What action can we take

UPDATE: so I filed a police complaint and the inspector was kind enough to get me in touch with the bmc dog squad which came and promptly took the dog away..the personwho used to feed it wasn’t in a good mood wand picked up a fight with me but luckily I had a group of people with me who difused the situation

2. Contact the municipality dog catcher
3. Complaint to society and the bungalow owner

You can adopt any of the above 3 depending on your morals and patience

Call dogs catchers. The dog is a hazard to the public it needs to be put down. There are countries where there are laws to put down streets or pet dogs if they are even as much as a single person. This one has done to a lot of people. Just think about children in the area and report him. Also get a shot you don’t want to get sick

Thanks for the advice ,yes as soon as I got bit I took the vaccine so I’m okay…will check on the dog catcher and make sure the dog is taken away

Go to his nearest police station and file FIR under section 291 of BNSS, provide your medical report and incident.

This so-called pet owner will be your pet for sure.

Don’t forget to add a couple of laks as compensation.

Indian dog owners are garbage. They don’t give shit what their dog does, they won’t bother training their dogs.. But if u tell them not to make their dog poop in front of ur gate.. U suddenly become the bad person
