YHi, I need to know what steps I can take to recover my money. I placed an order on 11th March on Blinkit worth rupees 211. The order couldn’t be placed, but my bank account got debited with this amount. I again placed the same order, and this time, it got placed with an additional 211 rupees being debited from my bank.
After that, I received an SMS from the Blinkit team stating that since my order couldn’t be placed and the amount got debited, I would receive a refund by 18th March. So I waited. On the 18th, I received another SMS stating that the refund will be processed by 21st March.
On 22nd March, when I didn’t receive it, I took help from the inbuilt chatbot. A representative was assigned to me, and she tried to resolve the issue but couldn’t. She said she talked to the payments team, and the refund was taking time to process. She told me on text to wait for 24-48 hours, I’ll receive it.
When I didn’t receive it after 2 days, I again took the help of the chatbot, where the representative outright denied that there was any transaction as such. I told her that I have the screenshots of my bank statement and Blinkit confirming that it happened and that I’ll get a refund. She then completely changed and said that she’s looking into the issue. She couldn’t do anything, so she told me to contact the chatbot again after 4-5 hours since “people are working on it”. I have a text from her stating that I’ll get my refund too.
Today, when I started to repeat this process, I got an automated response saying that there’s no such transaction and they ended the chat. I went to my orders and saw that that specific order was not there anymore.
I know 211 rupees isn’t a huge amount, but them deleting that order from my account shocked me, and I want to get my money back. What can I do?
I have my bank statement, Blinkit team’s SMS, and screenshots of chats with executives as proof.
