Can I get in trouble for verbally abusing a girl?

So a girl who I know shared a photo of the >!deadbody of a girl who recently commited suicide!< So I confronted her about this and basically said “you wouldn’t like this if this happened to you or someone in your family” and she thought I’m somehow making comments on her family and then started abusing my mom. The smart thing for me to do here would be to let it go but that made me angry so I snapped back at her. I didn’t say a lot of abusive words but I think there are one or two that can get me in trouble if some reports the chat. I’m sorry if this comes off as very amateur-ish. Thank you

Since the event was emotional and you were not in a fully conscious state of mind due to emotional breakdown, and she is at fault, there is little to worry for you.

Idk if by “people” you meant me but I think I have provided the summary of the full story. She posted the photo which I think was disrespectful to the victim -> i confronted her about this and said “What if this happened to you instead or someone you love? Would you like it? -> she got all defensive and started cussing me and my mom -> I cussed back(which was very dumb I could have handled it better). And that’s really it. I understand if you don’t believe me because it’s hard to do in an online conversation but I’m not really trying to get sympathy or consolation cuz I think there are better subreddits for that than this one.

Now a days you can get into trouble looking at a girl leave alone saying some words. Which tbh you should have not done in the first place.
Laws in India don’t favor men. So keep that in mind.
