April 10, 2025 at 1:54 pmi am 23 years old, and my girlfriend is 21 years old. i want to go to another city and spend night w/ her over there, but I am scared her mother will charge me with kidnapping her daughter and put me in jail. i have a voice note of her mother saying that she is okay with us travelling together. and my girlfriend has written in text that she’s okay w/ us getting intimate. does she have a potential case against me or am I just overreacting? -

April 10, 2025 at 2:27 pmYou are above the age of 18 and she is a consenting adult. Yes she could file an FIR but it wonβt stick since there is no evidence of kidnapping.I understand that social media has probably scared you but you donβt have to be walking on egg shells every time.

April 10, 2025 at 2:34 pmHere are few things you need to ask yourself :1. If her mother knows about you and her being in a relationship, then why do you fear her of putting you in jail.
2. Is your gf willing to spend night with you ! Is she ok with it ! Consent is very important.
3. Why do you need to travel to another city to do it ! Can’t it be done in your city!
4. Most importantly, is it you guys first time or your fetish of doing it at night ?
Advise :- if your relationship/love is strong and you believe she won’t betray you in any scenario, then you don’t need to fear anyone of anything because at the end of the day her testimony will matter the most but considering both of your age into consideration, you both seem to be a college student and at last you guys will always do what your parents will say.
If it is just to do xes then stick to oyo or airbnb for time being within your city where if something happens then atleast you both can be safe.

April 11, 2025 at 9:34 amIt All depends on your girlfriend. Even if she is saying yes now and later if she withdraws her consent you are at fault. Such is the law. I recommend you to meet as many people as possible that are related to her as friends and family to be sure that she won’t charge you with such accusations just in case things don’t go as you’ve planned.
