April 30, 2025 at 1:49 amThe thing is the company I’m working has made me sign a employee bond of 3.5years with breaking compensation would be last 4 months of salary drawn. As I was fresher at that time I haven’t thought much and signed the bond. Its been 8 months and I cannot continue in company for so many reasons(toxic) and also I have a offer from another company right now and I’m thinking to switch as the new company work culture and work life balance is amazing.
1. Now the question if I join the new company without paying the compensation for the current company will I be facing any legal issues?(They don’t have any of my original certificates to hold me)
2. Is it ok to show my payslips and joining letter and join the new company without the relieving letter? (If they agree as they have a immediate requirement for the position)
3. Also if I join the new company would my old employer will get to know about this by having a hold of my PF account? (What will be the future of my PF account)PS: One of my friend who also signed the bond left the company 2 months back and he did not give any compensation to the company and the company was not able to hold him, but he’s not currently working now

April 30, 2025 at 2:09 amIf things go south, they and press charges for criminal breach of trust and employment bond. So just pay up – and if possible as the new employer to compensate as ‘joining bonus’ -

April 30, 2025 at 12:25 pmYou’ll have to either continue it or pay the amount to break the bond. There is no third solution to it.
