Im 23, my father constantly tells me to move out of his house, trying to kick me out as he says it’s β€œhis house” (was given to him by his parents). Can i legally do something to take away the house or at least get something in the future? I know this is really weird but ive heard a lot to come to this breaking point. Im ready to take any legal action, i want to make sure that i get my rightful place in this property.

You planning to take legal action against your father at the age of 23?

you can request a partition of ancestral property it’s not common though.

Also you are 23 going for a legal battle for the property with your father it will cost you a lot of money.

Also you don’t have an automatic right to your father’s property if he bought from his own money .

Think of your choice wisely you are 23 focus and study and get a job n all.

Idk man, if you are going to fight a civil case in Indian courts might as well start young. 23 seems to be just the right age:p

Lol yeah take 10- 15 years easy. And lawyers and judges will screw you over with the money for dates and hearing that would be the next level.

Where do you even get such a sense of entitlement at the age of 23? If you want a house, go out there, earn your own money and then build a house. Nobody can kick you out of your own house and you can be proud of building something with your own hard earned money. That’s what I did and so should you.

Your father’s property is his to keep. Just because he gave birth to you, it doesn’t mean his property becomes yours or you have any inherent right to live in that property.

If you have enough money to take legal action, then probably you have enough money to move out of your father’s property

If your father’s property is self acquired then I hope he makes a will that would not include you at all
