January 18, 2025 at 3:00 amOn January 15, 2025, a person claiming to be from DMI Finance visited my home without prior notice. He failed to produce a valid ID, instead showing a photo of an expired ID card on WhatsApp.I had been emailing DMI Finance for over a month, requesting a one-month EMI extension due to a medical emergency, starting 20 days before the due date, but received no response. Despite my efforts, I was harassed with misinformation over calls and unauthorized visits.Key issues:
1. Unauthorized handling of sensitive information by someone with an invalid ID.
2. False claims about loan repayment policies, citing RBI guidelines.
3. Unprofessional conduct and threats during communication. This visit caused serious distress to my family, including my father, a senior ITBP personnel, and has security implications. Iβve filed a police complaint for trespassing and privacy violations.
I now want to send a Cease and Desist notice demanding no further home visits, restricting communication to email or phone, and an explanation of the mishandling of my information.
Can I issue this notice, and what legal steps can I take if they fail to comply?

January 18, 2025 at 3:20 amWhen you’re coming from an influential military family I think this kind of suggestions are not wanted.
(Father is I.G), brother practicing on Supreme court but don’t want to involve them anyway.-

January 18, 2025 at 3:23 amI.G is not military. Donβt understand why policewalas want to be classified as military. My father served in Armed forces and they absolutely hate it when police is clubbed with them!Pay the EMI on time rather than moving the Supreme Court.

January 18, 2025 at 4:17 amThey are doing nothing wrong. You are in default, and you need to pay. Cease and desist notice will not work. Whether family is of a judge or lawyer contractual obligations cannot be pushed away

January 18, 2025 at 4:44 amUnfortunately, all those companies that give loans are like this. I would advise you to somehow manage to pay the overdue EMI and then close the loan as soon as possible.
