March 1, 2025 at 2:58 amAxis bank has been reporting non payment to CIBIL since August. I don’t have any outstanding on my Axis cards. When I asked them which card is overdue they couldn’t answer but still continue to report non payment and it drove my CIBIL score down to lowest lows. I complaint to their Nodal officer and then raised it to RBI CMS in December. It has been 3 months since I complained to RBI and yet Axis isn’t able to resolve. They are not responding to my mails.I have an audit trail for everything. Can any lawyer here advise what’s the legal recourse please. I really want to drag them to court.

March 1, 2025 at 7:39 amThis is useless. I have filed one dispute related to unknown address and they closed with simply contact relevant bank. How one can approach bank without some reference information?

March 1, 2025 at 5:36 amRBI Ombudsman not working effectively these days with so many cases pending.
Try with the bank and highlight in all social media with emails sent to their heads.
I fought for my case for 3.5 months with ICICI. Luckily I have a voice recording and sent over email to head customer care and immediately I got call from Mumbai after Hyderabad team trying to suppress the issues. They sent me an apology letter over email as well.
First RBI Omb closed my case saying ICICI team responded with the clarification and the same has been accepted by you. When I again replied they said file another after 30 days and wait for their response first

March 1, 2025 at 3:59 amShoot emails like no one’s business to whoever is in-charge of these two entities. Have a clear paper trail of complaints with reference to previous complaints. Someone is going to take note of it as it directly affects their job security. We did the same, it got resolved.

March 1, 2025 at 4:05 amHi OP, sorry to hear that. You can move consumer court (deficiency in service), having jurisdiction where your residential address with the bank is. However, it must be noted it might take at least a year and your Credit score is going to suffer until the order.
>
Therefore, a better strategy would be to concurrently file a criminal complaint(non-cognizable, via CJM/MM) alleging fraud. This will help you to get a stay order barring the bank from reporting to Credit Ratings Agency until the conclusion of trial, hence save your credit score from further degradation.

It might seem very overwhelming but it is not. Hope it helps. -

March 1, 2025 at 7:39 amHighly likely you might loose the case.Visit axis bank head office with latest cibil score in hard copy. Write a letter to manager and write a letter stating that you have no dues yet axis bank is not acknowledging this. Also mention that you will close the card if this resolves the issue.
Hard copy of cibil report, Letter on A4 sheet. That’s all it takes.
Pls try keeping a cool mind ik cibil drop due to icorrect tagging is very awful but play safe for now. If they don’t budge then escalate the issue.
