can i sue my dad if he threatens to kick me out?

I’m preparing for jee (2028) and my parents recently divorced (jan of this year). Mom is now in the US, not married yet but the guy is one she met earlier in may 2025 and planned to marry immediately while the divorce plannings were going on. i go to a local coaching for jee, and have taken admission in a dummy school. My dad paid for 2 years in coaching and school; only problem is that hes a raging narcissist (plus a drunk) and constantly wants my attention in exchange for the “money” he pays for my school. if he does kick me out, can i sue him? I just need a place to stay and food, thats it. mom isnt even an option bcz she refuses to give me any money from the divorce settlement, and is now out of the country. and if im not able to sue my dad, are there any ways to make money as a 16 year old/ get a place to stay in for free?

You can approach the local child welfare committee and inform them. They will look into it and handle things.

dads parents are both dead, moms parents don’t give a f mostly since they disapproved of even marrying my dad in the first place, they see me as something that just “happened”

Maa bete dono lalchi hai……. You can ask for maintenance from your father…. No issue…. But I think ur father is a good man he will definitely help you in any situation so don’t be worried…..

i don’t agree actually, both are equally bad.this post says very less abt the things he has done, and the things my mom has done. i didnt include it in the post because it would be irrelevant to the legal part.

You can for maintenance, Move into a hostel and consult a lawyer. Which state are you based in?

Madhya pradesh. actually have thought abt a hostel multiple times. Many hostels are right next to my coaching. is a lawyer going to be expensive? as i have only 5000 saved up
