March 8, 2025 at 12:26 pmI am a freelance web developer and a few months back a client just ghosted me after I made the site, I have put the site down but still I wanted to ask if I find offline clients, can I make them sign a contract saying that they’ll have to pay …. Like something like that
Do i need to go to a lawyer or can I just get it done with any online contract maker ? -

March 8, 2025 at 12:59 pmYou definitely can make a contract online and donβt need a lawyer for it.But, if you do similar work for various clients, it would be best to get a standard draft contract prepared by an advocate which you could use with slight modifications based on requirements of the client. Alternatively, you could also have the draft contract prepared by AI and get an advocate to review it for you for any mistakes or improvements. Reason I recommend this is that from my experience AI still makes many mistakes when it comes to legal issues.
