“My great-grandfather acquired a piece of land, but he never completed the legal ownership paperwork. Over time, the land records were updated in someone else’s name. However, my family has been continuously farming on this land for the past 30 years without any dispute. We don’t know who the current legal owner is.

Do we have any legal rights over this land under adverse possession? What steps should we take to claim ownership? Any advice from legal experts or those with similar experiences would be greatly appreciated!”

If you have been in uninterrupted possession of the land for 30 years then you can file a Suit for adverse possession and get the property officially transferred to your name.
