April 26, 2025 at 3:53 pmColive Plano. The room I was assigned, Room No. 328 (there was a murder in that room before my stay and it was not disclosed. Which I think is illeagal) it DID NOT HAVE A FUNCTIONING AC, which I specifically chose and paid a premium for. The place smells like cigarette smoke every other day and have seen multiple bottles of beer and other alcoholoc drinks lying around. There’s also this weird smell I would get while in the washroom, I don’t know what it was, but it smelled terrible, I used to hate to go the washroom for that exact reason, maybe from other rooms as all rooms’ in a vertical line of every floor washrooms were connected to the same exhaust. Fights too broke out every month there, which severely disrupted my sleep and focus in my studies. Water supply was never stable and having hot water at the time that they mentioned was a blessing. Even the electricity was cut frequently as they wouldn’t pay the Electricity Bill to BESCOM. The workers wouldn’t clean as they weren’t piad their already minimal salaries on time and just in the duration I stayed there (about 3 and a half months), the cleaning staff was changed 3 times. Also the managers were the irresponsible people I’ve ever known, except the first manager (there were 3 or 4 managers during my stay alone, don’t remember exactly if it was 3 or 4), who was a quite a good guy, but had to leave as the other guests were verbally abusing him and making fun of him, due to a mistake caused by the app and not him, he too was under paid. Now it’s been long time since I left that hell hole (about 7 months) but I’m still receiving messages on WhatsApp about incomplete dues, LIKE WHAT? SERIOUSLY? It’s been 7 MONTHS! They’re harassing me with them telling that they’ll take ‘Legal Action’ against me if I do not repay them.Like they’re asking โน39,650, but for what? They say it’s for Out Standing rent (โน28,327), which i dont know why they’re charging me, as I never stayed there for that month, Electricity Charge (โน6,205), which they said is waived off, as a compensation for the before mentioned non-functional AC and they’ve seem to changed their mind and are now charging for it, Separation Charge (โน6,348), like what even is separation charge? And finally Notice Period Charges (โน19,680) and what is that for? I did exactly what the then manager told me to do, so what notice charge should I pay? I was never told by any of the managers about this notice charge, when I had asked the manager about the process of leaving, he told that I should just inform him and I can leave, just the same as what the previous manager did, when I had asked him, as I was planning to leave that place anyways. So the total amount is now โน60,560 of which โน21,000 is waived off, which was my DEPOSIT AMOUNT. Now I’ve been told to pay โน39,560. Seriously, I will have to escalate this harasment to the legal Authorities.
Please never stay at any Colive property, as they’re always poorly maintained and keep harassing their customers.
WE HAVE CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES ON THE GIVEN NUMBER, BUT NO ONE PICKS UP, THEY KEEP HARASSING ME WITH SUCH MESSAGES, I WILL REACH THE CONSUMER COURT IF REQUIRED. -

April 26, 2025 at 5:56 pmOp, do not pay a single penny, unless you have defaulted any legit rent payment. Colive is just run by bunch of scammers.I faced a similar situation. When I vacated, they would just randomly include miscellaneous charges and never return the deposit. (Sometimes these fuckall charges would be more than the deposit amounts that we would be asked to pay them lol)
I kept tagging them on twitter, mailed their CEO, asked a bunch of my friends to retweet it and I got my deposit back. Might not work for you now as they have no reputation to keep up.
