April 8, 2025 at 2:12 pmThis might be long but it’s really urgentI had this one doubt. If i decide to transfer to some other university after my 2nd year, would the university I am currently studying in allow me to leave the college ? What if they hold my documents as ransom, and not give me the transfer certificate required for me to join the university.
More importantly what if they don’t return the fees I paid for 3rd year? I will be leaving the college before the commencement of my classes or maybe a few days later into it. But would i not get the fees back _at all_ ?I am pretty much of a noob when it comes to the legal rights in academics. If someone would be kind to enlighten me in detail, attaching the rights and rules by the government i will be veey grateful. and if you could help me out of this dilemma, you don’t know how much of a help you would be. I am open to DMs if its a long explanation.

April 8, 2025 at 2:23 pmUnfortunately most colleges want you to pay full fees for entire course (4 year) else they won’t release your documents. This is illegal but widely followed practice all over India. You can immediately apply for duplicate certificate at respective boards citing you lost original. apply for duplicate 12th TC at college where you completed 12th. It requires formal complain with cops and one local paper ad
