But when i informed my college of the same , they mentioned they wont allow me to join walmart instead will take hold of my NOC, and force me to give last semester again.
They are not bending at all.

January 21, 2025 at 8:13 pmBro it’s college policy that you have to join the company that gives you the offer letter first. Did you sign any placement document? If so check the placenta policy. This is the first policy that told to everyone.I was a placement rep and something similar happened to a student in my class as well where he couldn’t join a higher offer.
If you have signed the placement policy document then college can hold the noc as it affects the placement cell rapo with the company you resign with and that company may refrain from coming for placement in coming years. Also it affects your junior’s placement as that company may hold placement for your department citing your reason as a general thappa for your department. It’s a snowball effect.
Now available options for you: if you had signed the placement document and that document has a policy like first offer Letter job that I have mentioned earlier, nothing much can be done from your end.
Now can you join walmart without the knowledge of your college and if you do so will the 1st company that you are working with inform your college?
Are you passed out student? And just waiting on the NOC or any other documents? The placement offers are not ranked based on package and the only way you could have chosen walmart over the other company is if you got both offer Letter the same day (happened to me so i picked one with higher package)-

January 21, 2025 at 8:17 pmOk i missed few things here. And some unwanted information is there on above response.WHY would you inform the college about a Of campus placement, like fr? That too after getting placed and joining the company? You should have simply exited the current company and joined walmart and given a reason to college like going for higher studies or something
Or keep them un informed until Noc
In any case you should never inform anyone of you OFf campus placement as it completely backfires-

January 22, 2025 at 5:47 ambecause i am still in my final semester, and company has a record of me doing internship in one of campus placement org, else i had to spend my last sem in college with regular curriculumSo basically my college tracks what i am doing in my final semester and can’t go unnoticed.
Have i not secured any on campus placement , then would’nt have any issue in me skipping my curriculum and joining walmart
