May 9, 2026 at 5:05 amI bought a lenovo LOQ 15AHP10 laptop and it had issues on the very day it arrived. It has a continuous ticking buzzing screeching and many other types of sounds coming from the laptop during various different tasks. After just 2 days of it arriving I had to file a complaint and in that they did offer me a refund or a replacement by classifying the product as DOA.
But when I asked them for a definite replacement they refused on the spot and said a refund will be given.Because prices had already increased as I received the laptop after a month from when I ordered and that too drastically ( I was also looking towards an asus tuf which when I ordered costed 1.2 Lakhs and by then costed 1.5) with the same laptop costing 30k more than what I paid but refund would be for what I paid I went for service route instead.
Now after 3 months of continuous repair the issue hasn’t been fixed and the company is defining the issue as normal even though other people with same laptop have no such noise. They blatantly said that even though it is government rule to replace your laptop cannot be replaced as it is in normal condition and we can provide no further service.
They tried to check for the noise on call even though I had told them the phones mic will noise cancel and won’t pick up that noise while in videos and real life it is clearly audible at sitting distance. And based on that they are saying as concluded via our check on call and system diagnostics which only test for software and kernel failures not hardware making noise your system is normal and any noise you hear can be disregarded. Even after sending multiple videos of the same issue they are now denying service.
On top of all this because of another issue they had replaced the charger but the issue wasn’t fixed so I had to ask them again and then they say that it is a system feature and we can’t send the original charger. I asked for the original charger back as the new one is too much big and takes space in bag where I have to place books and other items.
Along with this after a motherboard replacement the laptops core features such as fan and light control were lost due to the technicians negligence and also I had lost Xbox game pass subscription offer which could be redeemed till 2028 for 3 months (the subscription would last 3 months after activation) and when I ask for this they replied that the subscription is only for 3 months and you can’t have it back. I have attached a picture of my friends laptop along with the same offer and it is clearly shown that it can be redeemed till 2028. [Pic of pass ](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Wy_lS_DPdcXqR8H_9UcxnEXbzLSZzVkb/view?usp=sharing)
They keep creating multiple cases and run them for a short time and close it and then ask again and again for same proofs I had sent them multiple times. They as I said say that it is normal but I don’t know any laptop that makes such noise at a sitting distance that sometimes when there is a screech hurts my ear.
I have already filed a NCH complaint but it had no effect on them.
Please advise what should be my next course of action as I am a student and it would be hard for me to go to court and spend more time for this issue.
I have linked a folder with videos of the issue and some conversations I had with them along with my previous post which explains the case in more detail.
I can provide more conversations over calls if needed but that will take a lot of time (hours of calls with multiple instances spanning over 3 months)[Videos and conversations](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Uw8jH_BO0YNvpqp0ZKQ4rFxkg-NL-WLf?usp=drive_link)

May 9, 2026 at 6:22 amMan, honestly? Reading this just makes my blood boil. They are straight-up gaslighting you with that “screeching is a feature” BS.Look, I know that 30k price jump sucks big time, but as a fellow student, your time and sanity are worth way more than that. You’ve already burned 3 months on this “support loop” and the laptop is basically a Frankenstein’s monster now—they replaced the board and somehow broke the fan and lights? That’s a massive red flag. Even if they “fix” it, you’ll be looking over your shoulder waiting for the next thing to break.
If I were in your shoes:
1. Stop the repair cycle. It’s a dead end.
2. Demand the **full refund** immediately.
3. Maybe push them to add a tiny bit extra for the Xbox Game Pass they messed up and the 3 months of stress, but don’t let it stall the refund.
4. Take the cash, find a good student deal elsewhere (maybe skip Lenovo this time lol), and get back to your life.A laptop that hurts your ears isn’t a tool, it’s a liability. Cut your losses and run before they waste another semester of your life. Good luck, hope you get this sorted soon!

OP
May 9, 2026 at 6:25 ambut others laptops with similar specs cost like 1.5x bro. I bought this for ai and heavy gaming + game dev and I would need a good gpu for it. I wanted a desktop but for college a laptop is kinda necessary-

May 9, 2026 at 6:39 amI hear you—GPU is life for AI/Dev, and that 1.5x price hike is a gut punch. But here’s the reality: **A high-spec laptop you can’t trust is just a fast paperweight.**If it fails during an AI training run or right before a deadline, that 30k you “saved” will be the most expensive money you ever spent. Since a refund won’t buy you a new machine, pivot:
* **Stop asking for a refund.** Demand an **Equivalent Replacement**.
* **Use their mistakes:** Their tech literally broke your fan and light controls. That’s documented damage caused by *their* staff—use that as your primary leverage to escalate.A tool is only as good as its reliability. Don’t let a “good deal” trap you with a lemon.
