PSuppose, near my house, there’s a very loud and violent fight between 2-4 people. I am 1) disturbed by the noise and 2) concerned someone might gravely hurt or kill someone.
So I decide to call 112. They take down the address and also note my name.
Suppose, the police come and register a case against those people and it becomes a serious matter.
Will I have any further involvement? Either at the station or in a court?

UIf an FIR is filed, two scenarios may apply:
1. You’re named as the complainant (with your consent).
2. The victim is named as the complainant, and you’re noted as the person who called 112.In both cases, you’ll be treated as an informant. The Investigating Officer will record your statement, and your role typically ends there. You may or may not be called to court, depending on whether your testimony is needed by the prosecution or defense.

HIf a fight is going on, then the offence is affray and all the person involved will be accused. They won’t be victims. OP would be the informant / complainant, and would have to give his statement. If the case is not settled, then OP would be called for examination in chief and cross examination as a witness for prosecution.
