I had filed a complaint at WHITEFIELD POLICE STATION in March regarding sexual abuse. They registered an fir and abused me so much in the name of investigation seized my phone as well. This happened over a month and no action was taken against the accused one day I got to know he had applied for anticipatory bail and absconded. When I enquired about this they insulted me that I was the one who entertained him sexually and sent me home. However luckily that accused didnt get anticipatory bail but got stay from high court. I had stopped bothering by now.
Immediately after stay he started sending me lewd and threatening messages from a fake account and told me he would kill me. I reported this to the police again but my IO(subinspector) didnt even bother to help me and the fact that I was feeling unsafe.instead he called the accused over the phone and was pacifying him about the situation. How just is this? I’m being harassed and threatened being called a slut everyday around my daily life. I feel pathetic and the police are just trying to escape him.i really need help I feel so trapped. Please give me a solution guys.

Uthe fake account threats after the bail stay honestly change the situation a lot because now it is not just about the original complaint anymore but also about ongoing intimidation and fear after the case already started. the part that stands out most is that you seem to have repeatedly approached the police while already feeling unsafe and instead felt dismissed or blamed which naturally destroys trust completely. please keep every threatening message screenshot account link and timestamp safely backed up because these later patterns can become very important even if individual accounts get deleted quickly. did you receive any written acknowledgement or diary entry when you reported the new threats and fake account messages or was everything handled informally through calls and station visits only

UIt was handled very informally they kept dismissing my complaints again and again I vsisted so many times. The sub inspector is so corrupt and trying to escape the accused I literally feel like committing suicide with the amount of harrassment I’m going through. The accused doesnt have any fear at all now I really need help

U[not a legal advice] Just so you know, the Whitefield police station is considered one of the worst police stations in Bengaluru when it comes to extracting money, and they rarely miss an opportunity to pressure either the accused or the victim.
I got caught up in a case there, and the IO (Bhim** **mate) constantly tried to extract money from us.
Instead of giving in or repeatedly visiting the station, we started communicating through formal letters and emails addressed to the Whitefield police station, as well as to the Commissioner and the DGP.
Thankfully, we eventually got out of the matter without paying a single penny since we kept the higher officials in loop, though the entire experience cost us a lot of mental peace because of those corrupt officers.
