SPorn is a subject that’s neither legal nor illegal in India. You have to get into the specifics. As long as you are low key you’ll be fine, if you fly too close to the sun you’ll get burned one way or another.
Case in point: Raj Kundra. The films that were made couldn’t be considered illegal the CBFC act covered only films and their exhibition in theaters, not digitally. So, to screw him they used money laundering/income tax.

SAgain the CBFC act in this particular instance is pointless, I just used the case as an example. Based on what you mentioned, copyright might be an issue. But regardless my point was that if it’s done low key, there’ll not be any issues but if it ends up becoming famous they can screw you one way or another.

NNot a BJP opponent. I like people like Gadkari in the BJP and used to like Vajpayee. But because of the 56 inch tongue I just can’t support BJP as a whole.
Have you heard the tongue’s latest. The tongue has weakened the RTI law. Now a department can refuse to release any information that contains personal data such as people’s names. That means that the voter list manipulation that all other parties are complaining about can never be found out by RTI activists.
Furthermore the tongue has brought a rule according to which even if an investigative journalist finds evidence of wrongdoing on his own without an RTI, he has to seek permission of the criminal before publishing his results in the media.
In such situation, a frog is preferable over the 56 inch long ever flapping tongue.

KI am honestly sorry,this comment made me re-think about things, I am really sorry.
I am in my final year of engineering at a IIIT, my every friend is earning more than 15+, while I am at 7.8. and in the current IT market no one is willing to take up freshers off-campus.In a desparate situation to earn money i thought of doing such things. My only way out is to give competitive exams or get experience (2-3 yrs) or start a business (which I can’t) and rest was this.
I am sorry I came as low as this to earn money, i fully believe in karma and will refrain from making this website now.

AHmm, this is a complicated topic. We are website and app developers, and we received a project to develop a p website. The client was willing to pay almost three times the normal fee, but we declined because it involved too many risks and we didn’t want to get into trouble.

Do you mean the company will be registered in a different country (like Ireland or some other tax haven) and you would be an employee/shareholder of the company working from India? If so, I wonder how would Indian officials know which (foreign) company runs a particular website, and who are its share holders?
But if there is an international investigation, or investigation in the country of incorporation, your name can get exposed, then (like other people said) you could be charged under any sections.
Why do you want to run a porn site? Is there a shortage of porn? You do realize that only one company owns all the porn sites across the world right? You are challenging a monopoly. You should investigate how it became a monopoly, and why no one else is challenging the monopoly, and what happened to people who challenged the monopoly.
