Hi,
Someone created an fake account of my sister on Instagram and and started following all our relatives … through my sister’s real account ( so they can defame my sister ).
Now they are posting my sister’s pictures by abusing her on that fake profile account .. Not just sexual abusing , even giving death threats , Stalking my sister by asking her friends when she will go to school ( basically knowing her school time and everything ) .. these all things bothering her a lot and she is just 16 year old
My parents are not that much educated, They don’t have much idea about internet. they are blaming my sister for these .. I contacted my area’s local police station, they are not even listening to my problem properly, Not even cyber crime officers are helping me …i have reported it to cyber crime portal.
Idk what to do , please guide me.I want to protect my sister from all this.
She is suicidal and not doing well.

DApart from Filing complaint and calling 1034, report it to Meta support people amd then close all her social media accounts and get off of the toxic social media cycle and let her focus on studies. Don’t get back on social media for a long long time. You need to understand that person is able to harass her becaz she is still using social media. This social media is ruining so many youngsters and they act like they will die without it, very sad….

DDude contact some NGO or put this on twitter that your complaint is not being lodged. They won’t do anything unless there is some pressure on them, or contact someone like an ethical hacker who can get you location/ login details of the impersonator and find him/ her. Or try to contact instagram and see if they can ban the id of impersonator.
