May 9, 2025 at 3:05 amMy mother expired in 2013 and in our family nobody is much aware about this certificate at that time. Now in 2025 I need this certificate for some property transfer.I visit the hospital where the death happens and they deny me saying they only have data 7 years old.
Can anyone tell how to get this certificate. I have my mother original voter ID card and photo

May 9, 2025 at 3:50 amYou need to go to the municipal corporation office with ID proof of your mother, and they had asked us a copy of the funeral/cremation rites receipt, which was given by the cremation ground office. -

May 9, 2025 at 4:28 amThe muncipal corporation office will have death records. U shud know the date of death to help the search. Alongside appln u will need to furnish letter frm crematorium office regarding the deceased, aadhaar/ voter id of deceased. Only then cn the appln for death certificate b processed.-

May 9, 2025 at 7:05 amOk, u cn still approach the muncipal corporation office and try to retrieve the death record from their archives. U shud know the tentative date to speed up things. The hospital has to send any info on birth and death to local corporation office immdtly. So this info will b avbl at muncipal office.u cn explain to them after that and take things forward.

May 9, 2025 at 6:52 amIt would be easy if you had it done within a month, but after 1 year, you are required to provide several documents. The government has made process more strict these days because of property disputes over false death certificate. First of all get the form from your zone’s municipal corporation office or download it.
Also these are some other documents you need to prepare1. Proof of record from the place of cremation. ( They usually have a register where they maintain records according to date and time, you can click a photo of it)
2. This cremation record then needs to be verified by your local Ward Parshad.
3. Gather all necessary documents—such as ID proof of your mother and father, address proof, and ID proof of two witnesses—along with a stamp paper. This stamp paper is attested by a magistrate. Then a code is written down on stamp paper from magistrate office to cross verify by registrar of municipal corporationSubmit all these documents to the registrar of the municipal corporation.
I’m not sure how it works in other states, but this is the process followed in Rajasthan.Another simpler option is to contact a broker. They can get it done for a fee, as they have tie-up with registrar.
