April 28, 2025 at 1:18 pmI live in a village in Uttarakhand where Flipkart delivers parcels only through Delhivery courier service.
Normally, due to hilly terrain, we mutually agree with the delivery boy to pick up parcels at a shop around 6 km away, which is acceptable. However, the nearest Delhivery branch (25 km away) uses only a scooty to deliver parcels for our area.
They are refusing to deliver any slightly larger packages (like a kidβs tricycle around 3β4 kg) because they “don’t fit” on the scooty along with other small parcels.
As a result, larger packages are either lying at their branch or returned without any real attempt at delivery.Since Flipkart doesn’t offer any other courier option here, this is becoming a serious problem.
What should be done in this case? Aren’t courier services responsible for delivering all packages, regardless of size?
Would appreciate advice on how to escalate this properly.

April 28, 2025 at 1:48 pmI actually thought about that too.
However, the parcel volume here is quite low β people have only recently started ordering online, and itβs still not very common.-

May 1, 2025 at 11:07 pmRent a space where the delivery guys drop off large packages. You pick up those packages once a week and hand it in your town/village
