January 24, 2025 at 9:36 amI met a real estate agent who was representing the buyer and accepted the token money. The details were captured on a plain paper without any date or buyerβs signature. I signed the paper though. It was paid in cash and there is no legal agreement for the same including the terms in case deal falls apart. The very next day I felt that broker was not very transparent and selling it to the buyer at a high price , also in the meantime I got a better buyer and price. So I called the broker and informed that I am not going ahead you please take your token money back.
He is not accepting the token back and pushing for the agreement. He has also been threading of legal action.
I have stopped following him now and it is a week but I have an agreement coming up in next few weeks before which I want to wrap this up. Please suggest what I am liable for and can I go ahead with the agreement with the other party even if token money is not returned.
