I go to the airport Declared a Fake Gold Chain as real to Customs!!
Go to some place where gold is dirt cheap maybe Dubai idk…
Make it into an identical Copy of the Fake Gold Chain!!
And fly back smuggling lakhs worth of Gold all while the government wouldn’t even suspect a thing!!
Someone please tell me this loop hope works??

SNo, custom’s per-declaration involves sharing bills and/or authenticity certificates. In authentic cases it is so tough ki Customs walle dimaag kha jaate hai, fraud cases mein tuh gaand mar lege.

UA bill isn’t the only thing they need. They’ll need an authorized jeweler to certify its purity. Those jewelers can get into trouble if shit hits the roof.
Also, the density of a fake and real gold is different. If you get an exact copy of real gold, its weight will be much heavier than your fake.
Just think about the full consequences before you do something stupid.

UIt’s not worth doing this for a chain. You’re allowed to simply wear one in gold and enter even if it’s new. Just don’t wear a dozen like a bride.
Also, your plan sounds plain stupid because making a new chain in the design of your fake chain in Dubai is expensive as compared to simply buying one ready off the shelf.

UIs the OP planning to bring a 1kg fake gold chain and expecting it not to be checked? 1kg gold chain has to be 125 tolas/sovereigns of gold. It will be a huge necklace if it has to be a single piece of jewellery.

HLets be real. Gold limit from Dubai to India is already at 40 grams and they don’t care what you got into Dubai. Customs will have no record of what you took out.

Getting same replica of fake chain – carrying them around – risks of getting caught and later jailed.

WThis will not work because I tried. not with fake gold, but with real gold. After going to the customs desk at the airport to declare the gold that I am taking to wear at a wedding abroad. There was no officer present at the desk, so I called the phone number which was mentioned at the desk. They told me that I have to take that gold somewhere in the city where the customs have approved certain Gold valuers and get the gold valued and certified by them, and then come back to the airport and declare it at the airport and take a certificate from the customs. You think all this is possible while I am at the airport? I questioned the customs officer of the same, he told me simply to take the gold abroad and come back. No questions will be asked, and I asked him what if I fall into trouble with customs while I am back, he said, I will not get into trouble, he told me to explain the same to the customs officer and he said they have other ways to detect fraud and gold smuggling.

Whenever i travel out from India, I will take my gold jewellery to a local airport customs approved gold valuer to obtain a gold valuation certificate. That certificate is required at the customers to obtain a export certificate at the declaration counter from airport. Whole i return back to india, i will show those certificates along with the jwellery to get it declared.

ULol, this is akin to selling fake gold to a jeweller. People risk their lives to smuggle gold and avoid customs. Do you really think customs are that dumb? If it was so easy, the organised crime smuggling gold wouldn’t have been so big and violent. In fact, if you try it, I am sure, you will be in for a long time, if the officer is honest. And there is no way you won’t be caught if the gold is of decent enough weight

SFirstly you need to compare prices. Dubai isn’t the gold haven it once was.
Secondly a couple of gold chains work couple of lakhs is hardly gold smuggling. If that’s the grand plan feel free to knock yourself out. With the 25k round trip flight ticket and stay, you’ll most probably be out of pocket in this venture.

UAs a customs officer I would like to clarify. First off we don’t certify every random piece of jewellery that you bring to us. We certify based on an assayer certificate that is issued for the specific ornament by a government authorised jeweller (assayer). The document would contain the exact weight and image/dimensions of the ornament. It’s almost impossible to clone both weight and dimensions of a real ornament to make fake ornaments. Also any quantity above 500gms requires a prior authorisation by the Assistant/Deputy Commissioner.
Now if you manage to fool all this, making charge of jewellery typically is 9-18% of its value. Duty evasion is 5% on average. So unless you have a specific buyer for that exact same necklace or bangle you will actually be losing money. Plus due to flight costs, making cost of fake jewellery etc you will not be making any profit even if all these impossible scenarios happened simultaneously.
But I really appreciate the effort. Your intelligence is precious. Don’t waste it. Especially with so little to spare already.

Uwhy would you do that… duty is at 6 percent! you might have paid more in flight tickets XD…not worth the hassle. all that fear and stress will cause illness like blood pressure diabetes white hair etc which would cost you more in the long run. i do not recommend any crime for those people who are not psycopaths!

UYou will still have to declare gold at dubai airport if it is above 60000 aed. My suggestion is get a value certificate of 14 lacs thats a bit less than 60000 aed, then you wont need to declare it. Better to befriend a jeweller in India to provide “genuine invoice”. But i dont think there is much price difference left due to rise in prices.
