Did not get my salary even after 9 months

Guys! I worked for a digital marketing company and i did not sign any contract or anything because it was a friends startup company and even after 9 months and various fake promises these guys haven’t paid us and now i am fed of asking them to pay me. Is there any legal action which i can take?
