February 16, 2025 at 2:42 pmThere were numerous errors made by the previous government in issuing the SADAREM certificate, which led to multiple assessments by different doctors. A person suffering from multiple disabilities is still unable to obtain a proper certificate in one go. Since multiple assessments were conducted, different doctors were assigned at various stages, resulting in the issuance of two separate certificates by the state government. However, instead of consolidating all details into a single certificate, the errors persisted in both certificates. Now, I am unable to make any corrections as the state government has discontinued this service. Meanwhile, another application was submitted to the central government for issuing a UDID, but unbeknownst to us, the state government had already applied for the UDID before we did. As a result, the erroneous details were reflected in the UDID as well, with only the least significant disability mentioned.
The issue is further complicated because, although a window was recently opened for editing, it does not allow for any changes to be made. Despite being advised to approach the government hospital, multiple visits have led to the same responseโthat changes cannot be made because the first certificate was issued in 2014, and I am only approaching them now in 2025. Although the assessment was completed, or the certificate was technically issued in 2014, we only received it between 2016 and 2017. Furthermore, the certificate has been of no use since it does not accurately mention the actual disabilities.
I am now exhausted, having even tried the grievance portal, but the matter was dismissed there as well. Given these circumstances, can I file a writ of mandamus? I am unsure if I can approach the High Court for this particular issue. Any idea how many years this takes? Kindly advise.

March 11, 2025 at 2:25 pmCurrently in the same boat. In my udid they havenโt mentioned the disability only that it is <40% which doesnโt make any sense to me and is causing issues for filling out the forms of govt exams. Did you happen to find any remedy for this issue?-

April 15, 2025 at 3:10 amNo both state and center needs to consider this issue. I am fed up going 100 times in a year to their office/hospitals where there are worst doctors and staff who don’t care about your issues
