Divorce decree has my name misspelt, will it be a huge issue

So I am a 33M . Married in 2022.. divorced in 2024 .. filed a divorce petition with mutual consent in Apr 2024 and got decree on 14 June 2024.. we received the decree from the lawyer and forgot about it.. however I was perusing over the document just now(some days ago) and found that my name is misspelt in the final divorce decree.. one letter is missing in my name on the decree

Will it be a big issue ?

Not really an issue. If you still want to correct it you can file an application in the same court wrt to correction.

Thanks a lot.. actually older ppl in my house are panicky . We have already given streedhan and one time alimony..

Dont worry it wont be an issue. If you still want correction you can file an application wrt same. Dont worry brother. If its in Delhi, i can help you with same. Its not a big thing.

Mine are forcing me to give the assets first and then they will file 13 B and sign the settlement deed.

How did you convince them to get everything after the decree?

I am being strongly oppose to the idea of giving anything before decree.

Any feedback? How did you go about it?

You need to give assets(streedhan and settlement money) before decree…

We filed a Petition..the lawyer was their (in laws) acquaintance. We both parties had one lawyer ..

In divorce petition, we had written what all is to be given..

Then on the last day.. we had to give streedhan and DD of the settlement amount…

The judge asked the other party if they are satisfied with the streedhan.. then both parties signed..

Dont give any gold informally before the last day

File a correction application before the concerned court.
