April 11, 2025 at 12:01 pmim planning to move abroad in future so do i get any legal allegations from changing name on aadhar and birth certificate but not on ssc memo.I have agreed to change the name but a meeseva guy told me ssc memo is almost impossible to change name as it involves government too much.
my dad is worried that I’ll get booked under forgery if there are two different names in my documents.
ps. when i met a police officer in station (when i went there for certification), he said me that changing name in ssc is like getting played like a volleyball in a wide pitch. he first suggested me to visit nampally ssc department and ask for process there and then mentioned that it’s not a normal task to get it done in time.

April 11, 2025 at 1:23 pmi mentioned that in post script, when i move abroad, they’ll reverify every document which makes it difficult to get accepted as there will be 2 names in documents since it gets rejected by govt applications and foreign govt won’t even involve to solve it.-

April 15, 2025 at 6:04 pmseems like it’s not that important if you pursue higher education but if not (stopped studying after intermediate or under grad) it’s a crucial document for them , for me personally i will be pursuing higher education so it’s not important.but this is just a opinion of others as I’ve talked to some people who changed name and this is what they said, until unless i face something and experience myself i can’t guarantee it so be careful tho.

April 15, 2025 at 6:11 pmGot you! So I finished my undergrad and will be pursuing higher ed. In that case, I don’t need to update my name in the previous marksheets. Just the IDs would do. Did I get it right?-

April 15, 2025 at 6:30 pmmaybe. but always give it a try, to change it wherever is possible and if it seems like impossible to do so , leave it (only if it’s considered less important).
