UI just see posts and other things here and I think there are no rights at all for an average citizen of India. We are just working on luck in a Hobesian society. I was just thinking about a real life scenario which can happen to me any day but doesn’t due to sheer luck.
1. Suppose someone on the streets gets offended by my face and starts beating me up.
2. I go to the police, they refuse to register FIR because I am a north Indian in south India. If I argue they also beat me up. If I try to record and gather evidence they beat me up.
3. I go to the court after the above 2. Court humiliates me, probably takes 10 years to arrive at the judgment that there is no evidence so the person is free.
4. If I go to the politician then I can’t even see inside his house. Any attempt to force myself to see the Politician and I’ll be beaten up further.
5. Commissioner, Magistrate, I don’t even know how to approach them hut I believe they will also refuse an audience.
6. Only option is to develop contacts to the city goons and have them serve justice. I guess this is why crime persists.
7. I can also try going to media or post on social media. But then again, all of that is just hype and when things turn down in media, most likely Police will beat me up even more.
Please correct me if I’m wrong. I’m genuinely looking for a way in this above situation where I will feel justice has been served and that I have some rights. Which steps have I gotten wrong.

NAlso I think your using too much social media and watching too many movies , I’m someone from north living in Bangalore and I’ve always found the police helpful in the rare cases that I have needed to interact with them.

Uyou mean like a state of delusion ?
I really see no reason why people would beat someone up purely after looking at their face unless there is history.
may be criminals deserve being beaten up just on their face value but why would anyone do that in general ?
I can continue with this though but then my spirits is leaving my body the more I try to comprehend

UI don’t know if you’re really this low IQ or trolling. Obviously the question is what if someone does beat you up. Maybe someone bumped into you, maybe someone splashed water on you and you shouted back, maybe they thought you were the thief who stole their phone, maybe they mistook you for someone else.
The question starts after this has happened. I hope you can picture *some* reason where you might get beat up on the road. The question starts after that happening.

UI don’t think mods would resort to violence, not until you would somehow instigate them.
so if you believe your face has those qualities which can compel a complete stranger to get into a fit of rage just to beat you up then you should just run.

Uyou might well be speaking out of your own sore experience and I appreciate you share the same with me here.
But I will still disagree until and unless I personally happen to experience the same myself.
I don’t consider disagreements as violence. I believe they are healthy and constructive. But that disagreement also needs to happen with a certain degree of objectivity & should not deviate from logical rational.
Also, remember never to argue with stupid!

REarn a lot of money and get your work done by bribing but only for good cause and for legal ways only….. you need to bribe to get things done in a legal way but never cross the line and use money for good or doing something illegal.
Other way is to be politically strong but politics is bad, bribing for your rights is easier.

UIn India, Pakistan, Bangladesh;
You can only have a peaceful life if:
1 – You have generational wealth
2 – You have good political connections.
3 – You have a horrible life but you are happy and you feel a sense of achievement if your favourite politician buys a new Lamborghini.
4 – You are a religious maniac and you can go around harassing the minority communities. You are automatically an ‘activist’ and you can have a peaceful life doing this for ₹50 and a meal packet.
5 – You have income coming in from your investments or businesses abroad.
The law and justice system in these 3 countries are horrible. No matter how happy you are now, ONE INCIDENT where you end up in the wrong side of a powerful person, your life Is DONE for.

UIn my perception, I think, the chances of getting beaten up in North India (for anyone) is much higher than the chances of getting beaten up in South India (for anyone).

QMate, this subreddit is for advice and not ranting.
Also your entire worldview is skewed, which is probably a result of many hours of consuming social media content designed to make you feel scared and targeted based on your identity. I act for North Indian clients in South India and what you’re saying is utter nonsense. If you hire a lawyer who can speak the language all these steps are open to you. Stop spreading fear in communities that have been part of our cities for generations. They’re not just surviving but thriving here.
If you think you have no rights in the country and hate the South so much, please feel free to enjoy our scenic airports and take a flight out and leave (the country if possible). 🙏🏾

UI’m not spreading any fear. You can replace North south with being from a different caste, being minority, being unable to pay bribe to cops or just a cop not liking your “attitude”.
Jesus Christ you guys suffer from a victim complex. I don’t hate South, I needed some reason to make an example and so I chose that one. You can pick any other reason. The question was more about not having any rights. I can even slap you, and unless you go to your contacts or connects to punish me, you won’t be able to do anything to me. I mean by the book.
