March 26, 2025 at 8:07 pmIโm gonna be getting married soon and Iโm completely oblivious to Indian law apart from my rather passionate hatred for it, which is why I left this shithole when I had the chance.Basically wherever I look there are stories of infidelity and many cases where the woman is entitled to financial assistance even after proving the affair, which in all honesty is insanity.
My question is, does the sunset clause exist in India? As in can I make my future wife sign a legal affidavit saying that if any partner cheats on the other, they will not be allowed any financial assistance there on ?
Another option is I can get legally married in the UAE, or UK where I am a resident as they have such laws. What implications would that have in our married life?
I am a relatively high earner and I have many assets in my name abroad, and some in India, which I received through inheritance. I donโt care about money or assets but I donโt like being screwed over.

March 26, 2025 at 8:17 pmNo it doesn’t. Also if you’re not Indian anymore, then why are you even asking this? Indian laws are obviously not applicable to foreigners -
