PHey everyone,
I’m sharing this because I don’t want anyone else to go through what I just experienced.I was contacted on Telegram by someone offering too-good-to-be-true deals—like Netflix, Prime Video, and LinkedIn Premium for just ₹500 per year. I trusted him and paid ₹1200 for multiple subscriptions.
That’s when everything went downhill.
Here’s what happened:
He hacked my Gmail account shortly after the payment
Changed my date of birth to 2018, making me a “minor”
Added himself as my “parent” or supervisor via Google Family Link
Locked me out of my account within minutes
Initiated account deletion
Then started blackmailing me for more money, threatening to delete all my data
I was only able to briefly access the account for 2 minutes, during which I flagged his device and changed my password—but he had already taken control and locked me out again.
This Gmail account was almost 10 years old.
It had all my personal memories—photos, videos, important documents like my PAN card, Aadhaar, school certificates… everything.
And just like that, it’s all gone.The most shocking part?
Google will NOT help you.
There’s no support number, no human chat, and no direct contact.
If you try emailing them, they’ll send you a link to their generic help page, which just loops you back to login prompts—useless if your account is already hacked.
They say “you may still recover your account,” but it’s a dead end.
There’s no emergency fraud support, even when it involves criminal activity and blackmail.
What I did afterward:
Reported the hacker’s device as unrecognized
Updated my other online accounts and changed recovery emails
Put my LinkedIn into hibernation and tried reaching them to change my primary email
Accepted that my Gmail account and everything in it might be gone for good
Takeaways:
Do NOT trust Telegram “deals” or sellers offering subscriptions.
If it sounds too good to be true—it definitely is.
Use strong passwords and 2FA everywhere.
Google has zero support when things go wrong—don’t expect help from them.
I feel sick about the data I’ve lost, but I hope this post saves someone else from a similar mistake.

QYou are dumb op, who gives there main account id pass in which even back accounts are linked. That’s why i have just separated my main account which i use for banks and all main and don’t give credentials to anyone. And i have 8 to 9 account for other uses like this. I take 15 rupee per month youtube premium and prime vedio for 6 month in 100 rs and netflix per month in 100rs and you know what they don’t even ask your password, for youtube they send you family link which i join (obviously through my dummy account), they just ask give your email so that they can forward family link and yeah only email. For prime they gave me account id and pass and i changed the email and password to dummy outlook mail which i use only for this kind of work and same with netflix they send me id and pass and then i transfer it. You are dumb op, not everyone scams and it’s your fault in this case.

Du/Visitor-aisey in another google account take google one paid storage, they have support options where you can call or chat with them, i have done this i never left this country
once you are on a call you can explain your situation, google will trust you since all these behaviors will obviously appear to them as suspicious
I myself have called them many times regarding google family since i use it to share my 200GB storage plan with family and many times it gets disabled -

COp is too dumb to give his details on a platter and then making a karma farming post deliberately eliminating the main part.
Also the way he has commented shows a stark difference in his way of talking and the post. The post is clearly written using chatgpt.
I see almost all posts on reddit being written using chatgpt. I mean use ur own fucking brains to write atleast -
CBro you did something wrong how can someone hack your account without you giving them your personal details. The learning should be don’t be so blinded for cheap stuff that you handout personal info.
Ppl fall into scam and blame the tech, situation rather than self negligence. My friend used to sell this, even buy some to resell. It’s simple you give money they give you account.
You would have instead given your email ID to which he would have promised to make a Netflix account on that id, even would have shared your password to do so which is total mistake. Telegram has lot of scammers & hackers so a general awareness is needed & unless you understand cybersecurity you shouldn’t go dealing on such apps.

A1. If you can save up and get the subscription by yourself – Pay once a year/3 month/6 month subs – Hotstar, Prime, Lionsgate.
2.There are different tiers; just get the economical one and tolerate the Ads (if any) or settle for lower quality streaming.
3. If you can’t, ask around in your friend circle. Band together and split.Repeat after me – IT’S NEVER WORTH IT TO SHARE IMPORTANT CREDENTIALS to save some measly rupees. If you have it, enjoy, if you don’t ask trusted resources, if you can’t do either – Today’s not your day. Maybe tomorrow will be. ✨
P.S : You might think DUH but, if you value safety, this is probably what you will/should do.

LThis is heartbreaking and important. Thank you for having the courage to share this. So many people fall into traps like this because scammers exploit trust and offer tempting deals. What happened to you is a form of digital assault, and it’s outrageous how platforms like Google provide no real support in such critical situations. You didn’t deserve this. Your warning could genuinely save someone else from going through the same pain.
